Overview:

Charterhouse Medical are looking for a Locum Specialist General Practitioner for the following opportunity:

• Pay Rate: $1,800 per day
• Date Range: 19 June to 30 June 2023 – 2 week locum
• Shift Times: Day Shifts Mon - Fri 8am to 5pm. Does not include public holidays as there is no expectation to work nor is there any on call/afterhours work required.
• On call - a Nurse on call responds to any call outs and contacts the doctor if advised by the RMP on call from Darwin.

Travel/Accommodation:

• Travel provided and accommodation provided.

Location:

Julanimawu (Nguiu) in the Arafura Sea approximately 70km northeast of Darwin. Also known as Nguiu and in the community of Wurrumiyanga. Accessible via daily Air & Ferry Service from Darwin. Wurrumiyanga lies on the traditional county of the Tiwi people, on Bathurst Island.

Wurrumiyanga on Bathurst Island is the largest community on the Tiwi Islands with approximately 2000 people. Facilities include two small supermarkets, a takeaway, a clinic with nurses and a permanent doctor, a police station, a childcare centre, a Catholic primary and secondary school, a garage and a Catholic church. Tiwi is the first language spoken with English being second.
