Charterhouse Medical are looking for a Locum District Medical Officer for the following opportunity:
Locum District Medical Officer GP/ED
In this position, you will work in the Emergency Department and/or GP clinics, with a roster of 1:3. Additionally, there will be opportunities to provide outreach clinics to remote communities. You will have the chance to practice a wide range of clinical skills in Indigenous health while being supported by a collaborative team.
Pay Rate: $2,700 per day.
Date Range: 24 July – 28 August
GP Clinics, Emergency Department & 1:3 on call roster
Travel/Accommodation: flights, car and accommodation provided.
Minimum requirement of 2 weeks
Shorter locums may be considered for recurring doctors from Western Australia
- Extensive generalist experience with a strong background in emergency department and primary healthcare
- Knowledge and skills in rural remote settings, particularly in Aboriginal health issues
- Previous experience in a rural hospital setting is desirable.
Fitzroy Crossing lies on the edge of a 350 million year old Devonian Reef, by the banks of the Fitzroy River. The hospital provides high-quality and indigenous health services from modern amenities offering a 12-bed facility.
To be considered for this position, applicant must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA & Current ASL2 (or equivalent - “REST/ RESP”).
