Charterhouse Medical have partnered with a local imaging provider to offer a broad range of dates between 10th November 2025 and 27th February 2026. Our client has practices in Hobart and Launceston.
You will be working with other radiologists although at times you may be the sole radiologist. Full clinical support is provided from an expert and friendly team. You can expect a varied caseload which includes some procedural work and will be tailored to fit with your skills and preferences. Week blocks or longer are available, as are permanent positions.
The daily rate is negotiable depending on your skills and experience.
All travel, credentialling, and logistics will be managed by Charterhouse’s experienced in-house credentialling team.
There are daily direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Hobart and Launceston.
The Location:
Hobart: Set beside the historic waterfront of Salamanca Place, Hobart offers a perfect blend of heritage, nature and culture. Visit the lively Saturday Salamanca Market for artisanal products and fresh local produce. Enjoy the harbour front, explore nearby forests like Mount
Wellington, and treat yourself to Tasmania’s renowned cool-climate wines and seafood.
Launceston: Located on the banks of the Tamar River, Launceston is charming, compact and perfect for combining a healthcare visit with a bit of sightseeing. Stroll through historic buildings downtown, sample award-winning local wines in the Tamar Valley, or enjoy a relaxed evening in town.
The Practice:
Our client operates practices across Hobart and Launceston. There is no weekend on oncall required and practice hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Each site offers a range of services which includes X-ray, US, CT, MRI, and procedural work. There is also a women’s imaging clinic in Hobart so general radiologists with an interest in breast work can be accommodated however a breast skillset is not mandatory.
Eligibility:
• Specialist registration with AHPRA
• FRANZCR
• General radiologists with Tier A procedural skills
• Tier B radiologists happy to do some Tier A procedures and general reporting
• Relevant experience in breast imaging is desirable but not essential
