The Location:

Located in rural Victoria, this location has a population of around 160,000 people and is known for its close-knit community and relaxed lifestyle. If you prefer a smaller town atmosphere with friendly neighbours, community events, and a strong sense of belonging, this is the location for you.

In addition to its community feel, this region is known for its natural beauty, including scenic landscapes, rivers, and nearby national parks. If you enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, or boating you will enjoy living here.

This regional city has a lower cost of living than many major cities in Australia. This can allow for a better work-life balance, with more time and resources available for leisure activities and family life.

The Facility:

The 300-bed hospital is accredited for training with RANZCOG which means it attracts great junior support.

The hospital provides specialist services to a population of around 160,000 people and is the referral hospital for the region.  These include obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, mental health, peadiatric, intensive care, emergency medicine and many other specialty areas.

Practicing medicine in a rural city like this can offer unique and rewarding experiences. Rural communities often have strong social connections and doctors can make a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of their patients.

Overall, taking a job in a rural city like this can offer doctors a range of personal and professional benefits, including opportunities for professional growth, a better work-life balance, and a unique rural experience.

Requirements:
