Overview:
Charterhouse Medical are looking for a Locum General Practitioner for the following opportunity:
Work is undertaken in a multi-disciplinary team delivering clinical and public health services to the residents of the Numbulwar community and surrounding outstations. There are 2 medical doctors already working in Numbulwar and these Drs work individually on separate days of the week. Clinical support is provided by the Aerial Medical Service telephone consultations and medical retrievals. Katherine District Hospital is the regional hospital and provides tertiary care.
Pay Rate: $1,800 per day.
Date Range: 22 May until 02 June 2023
Shift Times: Day Shifts Mon - Fri 8am to 5pm. On call - a Nurse on call responds to any call outs and contacts the doctor if advised by the RMP on call from Darwin.
Travel/Accommodation: flights, car and accommodation provided.
Location:
GP based in the community of Numbulwar at the mouth of the Rose River on the western coast of the Gulf of Carpentaria, adjacent to the extreme SW coast of Groote Eylandt. Numbulwar is approximately 400 km east of Katherine by air, 790 km southeast of Darwin and 250 km south of Nhulunbuy. Dry season access through Roper River and Ngukurr, sealed airstrip via air. Population approximately 700.
Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this position, applicant must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
