Are you a skilled and compassionate General Practitioner Visiting Medical Officer with expertise in Emergency Department (GP VMO ED)? Position: Experienced GP VMO ED

Duration: June 2023 to January 2024 (Multiple 1 week + locum contracts)

Salary: $2000 - $2750 per day 

Locations: Choose from 7 locations across Western NSW

Travel and Accommodation and Hire Car: Provided

Responsibilities:

• You will be the sole Doctor on call 24/7.
• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting at the Emergency Department.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute medical conditions and emergencies.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call duties as per the roster.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support a culture of continuous learning and development.

Requirements:

• Medical degree and full medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in emergency medicine, preferably in a rural or remote setting.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
