Overview:
Charterhouse Medical are currently looking for Locum GP/ED VMO for an upcoming locum assignment as per below:
Level: Emergency Medicine SMO
Area: GP/Emergency Medicine/Rural Medicine
Location: Ingham Health Service, QLD
Rate: $2200 - $2500 per day (depends on AST)
Date Range: 21 June 2025 – 28 December 2025 (multiple stints)
First Locum
• 21 June -27 June 2025
• 11 August -17 August 2025
• 01 September -28 September 2025
• 13 October -19 October 2025
• 3 November -9 November 2025
• 24 November -30 November 2025
• 15 December -21 December 2025
Second Locum
• 7 July 2025 -28 December 2025
Third Locum
• 26 May 2025 – 28 December 2025
Position Details:
• Position: Senior Medical Officer with AST (Obstetrics, Anaesthetics or Emergency Medicine preferred, other AST will be considered with appropriate ED experience)
• Location: Ingham Health Service, Queensland
• Roster: Flexible, 10-hour shifts; fatigue breaks and flexible practices supported.
• Hours: 10-hour shifts, including weekdays and weekends. On-call 1:2 or 1:3. (Meal breaks unpaid; minimum 30 min break required.)
• Credentialing: Must be credentialled for Rural facilities within THHS.
Requirements:
• Fellowship: FRACGP / FACRRM
• Rural Clinical Experience
• ALS Certification
• AST in one of: Obstetrics, Anaesthetics or Emergency Medicine preferred; other AST will be considered with appropriate ED experience.
Travel and accommodation included: Accommodation is on-site, fully self-contained, private units

Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this position, applicant must have General Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
