The Position:
As part of the multidisciplinary clinical team, you will provide medical services to patients, as well as provide leadership to the medical members of the team, promote quality and safety, provide training, supervision and education for doctors in training and other health workers in collaboration with other consultants and the Head of Department.
It is a fully accredited hospital for RACP training which means it attracts great junior support.

The Facility:
The 550-bed tertiary hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital, employing over 3000 people. It is accredited with ANZCA for 36 months and works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. This means it constantly attracts great junior support.
The hospital provides specialist services to a population of around 250,000 people and is the referral hospital for the region. These include obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, psychiatry, urology and oncology and many other specialty areas.
Requirements:
- Hold the FRACP and be registered as a Specialist with AHPRA.
- Candidates who hold the UK CCST (Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training) or from a Competent Authority country may also be considered
- Have experience working as General Physician- Staff Specialist
