Charterhouse Medical are currently recruiting a CMO - Advanced Skills Training. Have your Emergency Medicine Certificate and Advanced Skills Training fully funded.
  
Location

The Facility
114-bed level four regional referral hospital with in excess of 19,500 emergency presentations, 2,500 surgeries and 600 births each year. The hospital provides a range of acute specialist services (resident and visiting) including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatric Medicine, Oncology, Haematology, Obstetrics, Intensive Care, Respiratory Medicine, Endocrinology, Neurology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Renal Dialysis and Rheumatology.
 
The Role
The Career Medical Officer position is provided for 24 months. 
The first twelve months will be in the Emergency Department and the second twelve months will be in your choice of five advanced skills training positions on offer. 

Positions available for 2 years to undertake the Rural Training Pathway
 
The first 12 months spent in ED gaining the Emergency Medicine Certificate
 
The second 12 months electing an Accredited Advanced Skills Training position
 
Obstetrics gaining the Advanced Diploma
 
Surgery accredited with RACGP/ACRRM as an Advanced Skills Training Position Paediatrics accredited with RACGP/ACRRM as an Advanced Skills Training Position
 
Emergency Medicine gaining the diploma
Internal Medicine  accredited with RACGP/ACRRM as an Advanced Skills Training Position
 
The Emergency Medicine year is accredited for 6 months extended skills with RACGP or Primary Rural and Remote Training with ACRRM. The trainee will be expected to complete the Emergency Medicine Certificate during the 12 month training time. The advanced skills positions are accredited with RACGP and ACRRM. 

Clinical Skills / Specialties Required
Current General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia with at least three years post-graduate experience in a Public hospital setting with a demonstrated commitment to rural practice and rural communities

Competence in performing adult and paediatric basic/advanced life support as part of a rural multi-disclipinary team, knowledge of procedures required for stabilisation of patient prior to retrieval
