What you'll be doing
Develop, consolidate and enhance clinical skills in the provision of high quality patient care for all elective, emergency and trauma components in the Surgical Unit. The Surgical Registrar will be supported by a group of surgeons, registrars, junior doctors, nurses, allied health and other healthcare providers.
The hospital
Is an Accredited (this position is unaccredited) Victorian public hospital employing over 1500 staff across multiple locations. Services available currently include intensive care, coronary care, obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics, orthopaedic surgery, general surgery, vascular surgery, 24-hour emergency medicine, pharmacy, medical imaging, pathology and comprehensive mental health services. Allied Health services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech therapy, psychology and social work.
To be suitable for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
- You are an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- MBBS qualifications and prevocational experience in surgical disciplines
- Valid or eligibility for appropriate AHPRA registration
- Maintenance of regulatory and organisational credentialing requirements
- Appropriate clinical and professional attributes as per position description
