Job description
The Haematologist will provide and develop Haematology services at Bathurst, including providing care for inpatients, outpatients and patients attending the facility for emergency services. There may be an opportunity for the haematologist to apply for a 0.2FTE pathology position with NSW Health Pathology.
Due to the setup of the laboratory service most of the on‐site pathology responsibilities will be at Orange Hospital, and less so at Bathurst, though this is likely to change over time. Participation in the General Physician on call roster at Bathurst Hospital on an equitable basis is also required. This is a 0.8FTE position. There are opportunities to participate in the plasmapherisis service at Orange Hospital We would also encourage the successful applicant to apply for an Academic appointment at Western Sydney University Clinical School, Bathurst.
