Job description
Charterhouse Medical are currently recruiting a Staff Specialist – Specialist Anaesthetist for one of our clients in Regional NSW.
Location
One of Australia's oldest inland settlement. The city offers a pleasant country lifestyle with affordable housing, excellent public and private school education and a university. It is just two and a half hours drive from Sydney. The region is conveniently located with effective transport links to Sydney and Canberra.
The Role
You will strive to provide high quality anaesthetic services and improve care by being a role model, reviewing and developing care processes, monitoring emerging issues and leading change, especially within a digital hospital environment. You will work closely and collaboratively with other clinical services; medical nursing and allied health staff, demonstrating strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills; and familiarity with software applications to facilitate communication and planning in a public health environment.
Your clinical responsibilities will include routine anaesthetic services; pre-admission anaesthetic assessment clinics, participation in the after-hours on-call service, obstetric epidural service and development of an acute pain service. There is an opportunity to be involved in the Intensive Care Unit for an appropriately qualified individual.
Selection Criteria
You should be an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident who has current authority to practice as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligibility for same, and holds a Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance act 1973 relevant practice as a Specialist Anaesthetist.
