Job description
Charterhouse Medical are currently recruiting a – Specialist Anaesthetist for one of our clients in Regional Victoria
Location
As the largest healthcare provider in East Gippsland, this hospital provides services to a rapidly growing population. The Medical Department provides services across a broad spectrum of care, including an Emergency Department which includes a short stay unit and receives approximately 20,000 varied presentations per year and a newly built Medical/Surgical ward containing 34 beds, 2 bariatric beds and a 4 bed High Dependency Unit opening shortly.
The Role
The successful applicant will be required to participate in the oncall roster, undertaking one on-call period for every 4 lists worked. Your clinical responsibilities will include routine anaesthetic services; pre-admission anaesthetic assessment clinics, participation in the after-hours on-call service, obstetric epidural service and development of an acute pain service. There is an opportunity to be involved in the Intensive Care Unit for an appropriately qualified individual.
Selection Criteria
You should be an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident who has current authority to practice as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligibility for same, and holds a Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance act 1973 relevant practice as a Specialist Anaesthetist.
