Job description
The role of the Dermatologist is to provide clinical services to the patients of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future, including physician trainees and undergraduate medical students.
The role will provide specialist leadership to the ongoing delivery and further enhancement of an inpatient and outpatient dermatology service to the patients. A key part of the role will be to provide teaching and supervision to an advanced trainee of The Australasian College of Dermatology. The Townsville Hospital is the tertiary teaching hospital for North Queensland and has a patient case mix commensurate with that level of care provision. This includes patients from the local area and from the surrounding regions. This position will interact with a full range of medical and surgical specialties.
