Location
Is a city in Central Queensland, Australia. Straddling the Fitzroy River, it's known for beef production and has several bull statues around town.
The city is home to an active township museum where you'll be able to step back in time and discover the region's rich history, historic streetscapes, majestic cathedrals and quaint homes. Nature lovers will enjoy exploring Mount Archer National Park with its spectacular range of native plants and wildflowers. The mountain itself is 604 metres above sea level and offers glorious views of the town and the coast. The Capricorn Caves, north of the city, are a series of magnificent limestone caves that are worth a visit.  
 
What you'll be doing
Assist the Director of Anaesthesia, in ensuring that Anaesthesia services provided by CQ Health are of the highest standard and delivered in a reliable and cost effective manner given available resources. This position provides an opportunity for a newly qualified FANZCAs to consolidate their consultant role in a supportive environment.
 
The hospital
A modern campus which is the largest major hospital in Central Queensland, Australia. Operated by Queensland Health as a public hospital, the hospital offers a wide range of medical services to a population of about 230,000.
 
To be suitable for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia.
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA).  In general this will require Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).
Drivers licence (C class)
Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program of appropriate College.
