Here at Charterhouse Medical we have several opportunities for Registrars /Principal House Officers to join a popular service based in north Queensland
The Registrar/Principal House Officer position works in the Townsville Mental Health Service Group's Rural & Remote Mental Health Service (RRMHS), providing specialist Mental Health Services to the rural and remote areas around Townsville including Charters Towers, with outreach to Richmond and Hughenden as well a clinic co-located with primary care at Townsville Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service. The service provides adult focused mental health treatment as well as regular access to the dedicated rural specialist resource team delivering treatment in old age, addiction and child psychiatry.
Accredited by Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)
The successful applicant will be based in Charters Towers after completing the initial six months of training in Townsville.
The successful candidates will have:
- Current Medical Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Currently enrolled in RANZCP accredited training program, or looking to do so
