As the Registrar / Principal House Officer (PHO) you will be providing medical services to one of the Forensic and Secure Services (High Security Inpatient Service, Prison Mental Health Service, Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit or Extended Forensic Treatment and Rehabilitation Unit

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:

• Knowledge, expertise and skill in the assessment and clinical management of people with mental illness.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and organisational skills including the ability to work effectively and efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding of and commitment to mental health recovery model of care, evidence based practice and continuous quality improvement to enhance service delivery outcomes.
• Knowledge (or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge) of National and State Mental Health directions and legislation relevant to the provision of specialist mental health services

These positions are suitable for Stage 2 and 3 training and Advanced training in Forensic Psychiatry under the RANZCP
