Overview:

Charterhouse Medical are currently looking for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist for an upcoming locum placement as follows:

Level: Consultant/Specialist
Area: Psychiatry
Specialist Area of Interest: General Adult Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU).
Location: Canberra
Rate:  $2,000 per day
Date Range: ASAP – 3 months initially  

The MHSSU is a 6 bed inpatient unit based on the Canberra Hospital campus. There is a registrar and JMO on the Unit and It interfaces with the CHS ED to provide short stay assessments and treatments for patients. The unit falls within the ‘Adult Acute Mental Health Services’ and work within the Emergency Department team, CL team and Short Stay Unit team may be required.

Selection Criteria:

To be considered for this position, applicant must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
