Job description

  • Local organisation with excellent new grad mentorship & CPD allowances
  • Varied case load that doesn’t just revolve around pain management
  • Current team love working there - culturally diverse therapists encouraged to apply

Summary

Charterhouse Medical is working with an excellent local aged-care provider based in the Newcastle/Central Coast area that is looking to recruit a new graduate for their Newcastle team. If you are a new graduate looking to earn above award rates & be mentored by a leader within the aged-care and disability sector – this role is for you.

About the role:

This organisation’s mission is to support, enable and empower their clients to live enriched and meaningful lives. The team really do love their work and it shows in the quality of service they provide.

This company encompasses residential aged-care, community aged-care and community disability work. While you will start with a residential workload, as this company is a smaller operation, they are able to place you in the kind of work that you enjoy the most and tailor your workload to suit that. Many of their staff have hybrid community/residential roles which gives them the variety of work that they seek.

While pain management assessments are necessary to be able to access government funding, it isn’t the tick-the-box, high-turnover low-care exercise it often turns into in the large corporate organisations. Ensuring that the therapy is client-focussed not funding focussed is always at the core of the work of this organisation.

Benefits & culture:

CPD allowance to assist your ongoing education and training
Flexible working conditions -  happy to discuss part time and flexible hours
Big focus on culture - fun, support and collaboration
Company car, phone and laptop provided for community roles

About the company:

This organisation was founded by a physiotherapist with extensive experience working in the aged-care sector who wanted to set up a fun and meaningful business where clinicians are paid well to do great clinical work!

This organisation has a robust team of passionate Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter Valley servicing residential aged care providers and their residents, home care providers and their clients, private health insurers and their members and NDIS participants.

They are really proud of their team and strongly believe we are building the best team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in our region.

If you believe you are an outstanding therapist and a wonderful person and you want to be surrounded by others like you and supported by a great company then you have come to the right place!

Also – their favourite type of interview is over coffee in person if possible - and of course it is our shout!

Requirements

Graduate and experienced physiotherapists welcome! Unrestricted registration with AHPRA or Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand is required.
