Job description
You will Provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to Geriatric Medicine patients.
Actively pursue improved outcomes for Geriatric Medicine patients by participating in teaching and research relevant to Geriatric Medicine.
Provide services in Geriatric Medicine including diagnosis, treatment and care for patients, both inpatient and outpatient, at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) and where appropriate other hospitals in Tasmania.
In consultation with other clinical services assist with the management of the RHH patients.
Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.
Undertake research in Geriatric Medicine.
Participate in such Hospital committee and administrative matters as required by the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Geriatric Medicine and Medial Co-Director, Clinical Services Medicine.
Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives and related training, ensuring that quality and safety improvement processes are in place and acted upon.
