Overview:
Charterhouse Medical are looking for a Locum General Practitioner for the following opportunity:
Working in a multi-disciplinary team delivering clinical and public health services to the residents of the Wadeye community and surrounding outstations. Clinical support is provided by the Aerial Medical Service, telephone consultations and medical retrievals. Royal Darwin Hospital is the regional hospital and provides tertiary care.
Location:
Wadeye is located 270 km southwest of Darwin (417 kms by road) or 50 minutes by air. Population approximately 2700.
Pay Rate: $2,000 per day. Please note public holidays are not paid as Health Centre is closed.
Date Range: 29 May until 30 September 2023 3-week for minimum periods.
Shift Times: Clinic hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Primary Heath Care Nurses and Aboriginal Health Practitioners are the first respondents on-call, with the medical officer being called only if required or as advised by the Duty RMP on-call.
Travel/Accommodation: flights, car and accommodation provided.
Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this position, applicant must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
