1.            General, Provisional or limited registration with AHPRA registration

2.            IMG's that have been assessed by ACEM and deemed partially or substantially comparable.

3.            IMG's that have completed the AMC MCQ (part 1) or Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada or Ireland)

 

The Position

This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Emergency Medicine doctor to join the busy, dynamic team at one of Australia’s leading teaching tertiary hospitals. 

 

These Senior Registrar positions are responsible for the day to day management of inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital and work under the direction and supervision of Consultants and Senior Medical Staff, therefore providing great support to learn and develop ED skills.

 

You will be working as part of a traditional firm of doctors, including consultant, other registrars, medical officers and commonly interns too. The shift pattern depends on your rotation, but generally include a combination of days, evenings and nights over a 7-day week. This is usually in a pattern of 4-5 days on (can include weekends), 3-4 days off. On average you will work for 38-45 hours per week. The hospital works to minimise overtime where possible to support work/life balance.

The Emergency Department has a set down area for six ambulances, seven resuscitation cubicles, an air pressurised and filtered isolation room, 12 bed observation and four bed holding area, 21 assessment and treatment cubicles and office and administration areas.
