Job description
We are looking for a specialist to join a new service based at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula.
Focus will be on the clinical assessment and care for people who present to ED in crisis or with exacerbations of depression, anxiety, psychosocial difficulties or alcohol and drug use.
This group of people are frequent attenders at ED and benefit from support outside of traditional public mental health service systems.
The Peninsula Health Crisis Hub is a specialised stream of care for people that present to ED in crisis related to substance use, behavioural and mental health issues.
Care starts in the Emergent Department which will be an enhanced model to better support our patients presenting in a Mental Health and AOD crisis.
This will be a calming, welcoming and supportive environment for patients and will extend with 28 days outreach to link people from ED into community-based services.
