The Community Mental Health Practitioner will provide early intervention support to young people by driving practices that assist them to develop capacity, meaningful relationships and identify their strengths. This role will also see you supporting families and carers through understanding their concerns and the provision of information.

Duties

  • Work within a recovery-oriented framework to support individuals, families and carers
  • Work in partnership with clinical services, local service providers and other key stakeholders
  • Engage creatively with children and young people using a child-centred approach to practice
  • Delivering group work programs and community capacity activities

Criteria

  • AHPRA registration (current on online register (no restrictions)
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work & Occupational Therapist
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting client notes, reporting and working with a variety of electronic systems
  • Current Police Check
  • Flu Vaccine
  • Experience working with people with complex mental health issues and their families and carer
