Provide medical and general psychiatric services to consumers of the Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MHHITH) Unit, within the framework of established medical services practice, recovery focused and trauma informed care.

Provide intensive home-based care to consumers of the Unit, which includes biopsychosocial assessments, active, therapeutic engagement, monitoring and review of mental state and response to treatments, within a multidisciplinary team (MDT).

Work closely with a range of applicable stakeholders including, but not limited to Inpatient Mental Health Units, Emergency Department, Adult Community Mental Health Services, general practitioners, pharmacists, community organisations, to optimise patient flow and maximise consumer outcomes.
