Job description

• You will work in a busy regional hospital that sees a variety of presentations, keeping your work interesting.
• The Anaesthesia department consists of a Clinical Director, Visiting Medical Officer and 3 Staff Specialists
• The on call roster is approximately 1:6 or 57 on calls per annum.

Charterhouse Medical are currently looking for a Specialist Doctor in Anaesthetics for a permanent vacancy based in NSW.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Specialist Anaesthetist for Bathurst Hospital for a period of up to 13 weeks with the possibility of an extension to this time frame.
The Specialist Anaesthetist will, as part of a cohesive Anaesthetics team, provide excellent clinical care to patients as well as contribute to the development of Anaesthetic Services and mentoring of junior medical officers and registrars.

The Anaesthetist should be able to demonstrate technical and professional competence as a Consultant General Anaesthetist with significant clinical hospital experience within the last two years, be willing to participate in an equitable on call roster and demonstrate strong Interpersonal communication and negotiation skills and familiarity with software applications to facilitate communication and planning in a public health environment.

Selection Criteria:

The applicant should be an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident who has current authority to practice as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and holds a Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance act 1973 relevant practice as a Specialist Anaesthetist.
