The Base Hospital consists of (221 beds), (sub-acute care - 70 beds) and Psychiatric Services (67 beds). This Health Service is a major training site for the University of Melbourne and Deakin Rural Clinical Schools. Senior staff are strongly committed to teaching and the professional development of Interns, HMOs and Registrars.
Purpose Of The Role
To deliver an appropriate level of Anaesthetic services, consistent with the BHS Strategic and Service Plans.
To promote the role of the Anaesthetic Department in a team environment and in partnership with the other BHS service elements.
Assist and positively contribute to the development of the Anaesthetic Department a recognized Centre for excellence in patient care.
Anaesthetic training is provided across a broad range of specialties including obstetrics, ENT, orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, urology, opthalmology, endoscopy as well as acute and persistent pain management.
Job Requirements (THESE ARE A MUST)
- MBBS or equivalent degree enabling registration with the Medical Board of Victoria
- Registered General Practice Trainee in the State of Victoria.
