An opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Registrar Trainee in Psychiatry to join the National youth mental health program based in Sydney.
Program (YEPP) is a Commonwealth funded community mental health program for young people aged 12-25 years, experiencing a first psychotic episode, or at ultra-high risk of developing a psychotic disorder. YEPP is an integrated and comprehensive early intervention service based on the Early Psychosis Prevention and Intervention Centre (EPPIC) model of Orygen Youth Health. There are four accredited Registrar positions in the service and two will be available for second term and possibly longer.
Suitable for Registrars who have completed compulsory rotations, there is a minimum of three full days of Consultant Psychiatrist supervision and good opportunities for home visiting and the application of psychotherapies. There is a warm collegiate and stimulating educational environment. Regular Journal Club and case discussions.
Salary in line with the NSW award. Applicants should be an AHPRA registered medical practitioner, with experience in psychiatry.
